When we read the New Testament, we can not help but note how much of the text is voted sin. That 's not by chance. Christ, we must remember, who died riacquistarli from sin. Those who live like this not inherit the kingdom of God. (5:19 of Galatians - 21) The proverbs refers twice to gluttons: "Drunkards and gluttons become poor and sleepiness covers them for rags." (23:21 of proverbs) and "What keeps the law is a son of discernment, but a disonori companion of gluttons of his father. "(Proverbs 28: 7) The New Testament speaks once of gluttons. Paul mentioned B.C. the sixth century poet, Epimenides said: "The Cretans are always liars, animals diabolical, gluttons." lazy; (1:12 Titus) Should our understanding of debauchery be limited to food and sex? Clearly, were mentioned because they were the two temptations prevailing during the first century. We have more hours for trying. Today we can destroy our bodies by smoking, drinking, or drugs. And we can destroy our finances playing. God gave us brains for a reason; invite them to use them. Surely common sense tells us that even if the guilty pleasure is not alone, the safest rule is: nothing all'eccesso. In the case of smoking, drugs and play probably the best advice is to just say "No". Paul wrote the Ephesians that tells them to avoid drunkenness which leads to debauchery. (5:18 of Ephesians) this leads to the second sin of the flesh. Drunkenness Christians are required to be teetotalers? I heard the sermons to that effect. The holy scriptures, however, we tell a different story. Remember Jesus' first miracle? For a feast of ceremony wedding in Cana in Galilee, Jesus said the servants to fill six stone jars, each held twenty - thirty gallons, with water. But Christianity does not require.   Leisure For some people the easiest thing in the world to do is - nothing. The laziness and idleness are natural to them. Have you noticed? The defects are easy to acquire; are the virtues that we have to work a. In his first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul publish a warning within leisure. (1 5:14 of Thessalonians) and in his second letter, Paul ordered the church to stay on any brother who is at a minimum. When we were among you, you have not seen them turn to a minimum. We worked.
